Oh chicken wings, it has been a while!
Typically, I don’t venture far from the traditional flavors of buffalo and blue cheese when it comes to wings. However words like brown sugar, goat cheese and roasted red pepper perked my ears right up. This recipe looked amazing when I saw it on Pinterest and I was expecting to be disappointed with my own wings when I actually made them (some things on Pinterest just look too good to be true). I was proven wrong! They not only looked good it tasted great!
I stuck pretty true to the seasoning recipe but simply substituted garlic flakes with garlic powder, just because I didn’t have flakes (sorry only enough room in this household for one big flake and that would be me 😉 ).
I then added some olive oil making sure they all had a little oil on them. Next I added 1/3 of the seasoning and shook up the bad so that the seasonings started getting to all the wings. I repeated this two more times.
Mmmmmmmm looking good!! I think there are three leftover from dinner so I might be having them for lunch today! Ok make that a will be.
Now let’s talk about that dip. I did deviate from the original recipe.
Here is what I used:
1/2 plain Greek yogurt
1/8-1/4 cup goat cheese crumbles
1 big piece of roasted red pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
salt to taste
I threw all of the ingredients into a food processor and pulsed until smooth and completely mixed. Taste and adjust any of the flavors. Serve!
