Simple Moments

Do you have plans for your next snow day? Maybe you should! Here are a few simple crafts that I have enjoyed making when I have the extra time. Let’s start with wreaths!

The great thing about making a wreath is that it is inexpensive to make. Plus they are very versatile. They can however be a bit time consuming, especially if you do a yarn wreath. There are tons of flower making tutorials out there. If you need help, let me know and I’ll put something together so that you can see a step by step! Wreaths too time consuming? Still like the flowers though? How about making a headband?

These are super easy and a great way to use up fabric scraps. Don’t worry there is no sewing involved. Here is a tutorial on how to make the rosettes. By the way, I found it more manageable to glue in the cut edges of the fabric before trying to twist in into the flowers.

How about making a homemade sugar scrub? This is so simple and you probably have all of the ingredients on hand. Don’t have lemons? No worry, how about a coffee scrub?

Not feeling real creative? Why not let the kids take over?!

I found that this works best if you give the kids colors that are a part of their bedroom decor. Other than that, I just let them go at it! Wouldn’t this be a great thing to do as they grow up? You could collect their paintings to give to them or their children when they are grown!

I hope these ideas give you something to do on a Winter’s day :).
